With hot weather and head winds (again!) the first long distance race from Pithiviers was raced, 528 km. Team Sangers basketed 16 pigeons and 12 prize cards, that is 75% prize percentage! The first pigeon won 30th NPO of 6,699 birds and regional from 1,890 birds the series are:

Sangers-Ung got 6 prizes of 7 entered, which crowns him ‘grandmaster long distance’ in the magazine Het Spoor der Kampioenen. The first Sangers pigeon is the NL16-1259638, bred from ‘Bratt’ – a full brother of ‘Kittel’ Van Den Bulck. Mother is ‘Flowerbomb’, bred from the old Sangers icons ‘Fast As Lightning’ (NPO topper and super breeder) x ‘Edani’ (Europa Cup).
