Great season opening NPO races

The Sangers-bird showed great skills at the season opening of the NPO races 2016. Despite hard conditions Marcel showed his racing team is really going strong; Moespot-Gijzen and Gerard Calis won NPO top 10 positions with Sangers descendants.

Because of the poor weather conditions in France, the liberation point Gien was replaced by Melun; for Marcel still 463 km. Against 4,285 b. in the NPO race the Sangers-team won:
Of the 50 entered pigeons Marcel won 24 prizes. First clocked Sangers-bird was NL14-1662709 Favorite, last week on Soissons winner of 3rd against 1,743 birds. His father is bred from Stipo, last son to The Super Breeder and winner of 2nd NPO Bourges 7,584 b. in pairing to the exceptional hen Buddahari, 1st I.prov. acebird against over 34,000 birds. Mother is a full sister to Euro Marseille of Daan Besseling, the only Dutch bird that was clocked on the day from Marseille 2012 at 16 to 11 in the evening.

With two NPO top 10 birds (3rd and 4th fastest from over 8,000 b.) and in Fed. 1st and 2nd against 778 b., Marcels club mate Arjan Moespot was very successful on Melun. His first pigeon was a grandchild to Fast Red. Another grandchild to Fast Red won top 10 on Orleans (536 km) for Gerard Calis; 6th NPO Orleans 5,554 b.
